List and describe your bicycles Mercier Kilo WT Fixed Gear that I use for commuting. It actually a pretty fun bike, I just needed something cheap since DART likes to beat my bikes up pretty good. Santa Cruz Highball SS Mtb which is my baby. Built it from the frame up so now I can’t complain the bike is holding me back.
List past racing accomplishments in any sport you’ve competed in I got 4th place in the LBH Dorba Fall Race #1 2013. This is the best I’ve done so far and it was a blast!!
What is your first memory of riding a bicycle? I grew up riding atv’s and dirtbikes on a farm. When I was a teenager we moved into a subdivision which had a rad bmx pump trail through it. I used to have a blast launching off the jumps in the woods with all my friends from the neighborhood.
Why do you ride a bicycle? After riding dirtbikes I found mtb’s even more challenging. Not only does it take skill to handle the bike through tight single tracks you also have to be in great physical shape to keep the pedals turning.
What does Bearded Women mean to you? A great group of guys helping each other out, keeping everyone training hard and keeping the party going after the finish.

What is your first memory of riding a bicycle? I remember riding on the handle bars of my sister’s bike. I hated it but at 4 years old I don’t think I had much choice.
Why do you ride a bicycle? I had back surgery in the Marines in ’99. My weight and less severe back pain was a problem after that. Mountain biking has enable me to have fun, find something that is as challenging as I want to make it and help keep the weight off.
What does Bearded Women mean to you? A group that likes to race and have some fun.

What is your first memory of riding a bicycle? Very first memory: My uncle Skip teaching me to ride without training wheels. Most vivid memory: building and jumping ramps with the boys in my neighborhood. One bad landing, locking up the coaster brakes, and tearing up my brand new blue satin track suit (and me… didn’t care about me).
Why do you ride a bicycle? Biking saved my life… literally. I was very overweight and on my way to Diabetes. Since buying my bike in July 2011, I’ve lost over 100 pounds and feel GREAT! Biking also allows me to let go of the stress of my job/life. I always say for me it’s 51% mental and 49% physical.
What does Bearded Women mean to you? Camaraderie. People to ride and hang out with, people to push me when I need a nudge (or kick in the a**), someone will always have a bike pump, or banana, or beer, or cheer when needed.
