What is your first memory of riding a bicycle?
Riding around the neighborhood with my BMX bike.
Why do you ride a bicycle?
To stay fit and to satisfy my competitive nature. To me, training is no fun unless there is a specific purpose behind it. Racing gives me that purpose.
…and, of course, because it’s fun to ride with cool people and explore new places.
What does Bearded Women mean to you?
A group of people that share the same interests as me… especially drinking a nice cold beer after a hard ride. 🙂

What is your first memory of riding a bicycle?
Building BMX ramps in the alley out of plywood and anything else we could find around the neighborhood.
Why do you ride a bicycle?
My wife bought me my first MTB in May of 2014 and I instantly fell in love with riding. Nothing beats hitting the trails first thing in the morning, and once I discovered racing, there was no turning back!
What does Bearded Women mean to you?
It means being part of an amazing team!

What is your first memory of riding a bicycle?
I didn’t use any training wheels.  At 5 years old, I decided I wanted to ride a bike so I just hopped on.  My mom gave me a shove and off I went.  She was a little worried, because I just kept on going – I went all the way around the block!
Why do you ride a bicycle?
I ride first for fitness, second for socializing, and third for mental health (it’s good to get the frustrations out).
What does Bearded Women mean to you?
To me, the Bearded Women Racing Team means a chance to hang out with like-minded individuals that are all willing to help out for the common good of the team.  It’s an opportunity to leverage skills and expertise from someone who’s been through {insert situation here} before.

List past racing accomplishments in any sport you’ve competed in
Being able to finish races, each time getting better times.
What is your first memory of riding a bicycle? My first real memory was at River Legacy about 20 years ago on the old trails before they got closed down.  The old trail head was a long the road where the EKG/AEG is now. There was this downhill with a kicker at the bottom with a sharp left turn a few feet past it.  After a couple of times, I decided to take the kicker and landed too far before I could take the turn and ended up in a “pond” chasing my glasses before they could sink in the water.  Walked out stinking like funk with my dad and brother laughing at me.Probably one of the last few times I was on a bike till about 3-4 yrs ago, where once again I busted my butt at River Legacy but this time I keep on riding.
Why do you ride a bicycle?
For friends, for family, and a lot for the thrill.  Nothing like ripping down a hill at 25 mph, riding down some rock gardens holding on tight bouncing all over the place.
What does Bearded Women mean to you?
A group of individuals who love to ride and compete.  But most importantly the camaraderie and fun that goes a long with it.
