We had tons of fun this past weekend with two great events. Spinistry held another great Gravel Race in Valley View, TX while DORBA and Sun and Ski sports put on the first race in their Endurance race series at Boulder Park in Dallas, TX.
At Spinistry’s Texas Chain Ring Massacre, we had several racers make strong showings. In the 50k Fun Ride our own Greg Campbell finished 5th, Jonathan Braddick Finished 7th, and Brad McDaniel finishing 12th. Over in the 100k Race for Cash our own Marcus Mendoza finished 88th out of 232 racers(top 40% of racers!) which is impressive considering none other than Lance Armstrong showed up which brought out a strong amount of top riders. Way to go team!
Over in Dallas, at Boulder Park; Evan Blackard finished a strong 11th place with 6 total laps in the Solo Men 6 Hour group. Barry Russell finished in 2nd place in the Solo Single Speed 6 Hour group. In the Solo Men 4 Hour class, out of 57 riders, Anthony Killoran finished 21st, Mark Thompson 27th, Mike D’Aurelio 30th, and Nathan Delahoussay 32nd. Extremely impressive!
This weekend was a great start for 2017 and with this weekends Dirty Dozen Race at Warda, and the 1st stop in the Southern Enduro Series in Comfort, TX; we hope to see continued success from Bearded Women Racing!
